QUARTET

The Bristol based “Eastern Strings” features compositions by Daphna Sadeh on double bass and Knud Stüwe on the oud. Their music is a tapestry of Classical music elements , World music and Jazz improvisation. In 2019 they released a new album, Climbing the Summit , on UK lable 33 Records. The album was featured on Radio BBC 3. 

This quartet features Daan Temmink on accordeon and piano, who is is a UK based film & TV composer, jazz pianist and session musician. Since 2016 he has collaborated with Andrew Lawson, composing music for Sizzer Amsterdam and other music agencies. 

 

Mark Whitlam also features on drums. Mark's versatility opened up opportunities to perform in many genres, from Mercury Prize nominee and BBC Folk Award winner Eliza Carthy to experimental jazz ECM-label artists Andy Sheppard and Iain Ballamy
